My inside voice isn't helpful. They need a government issued inmate number and a prison yard nickname. Dead men don't rape. Profile picture not my art, artist unknown. she/her/Ms. AKA Kasper the Friendly Dragon
The one Heilein book replicates itself while we're sleeping. I've donated at least 2 other copies of The Cat Who Walks Through Walls only to find a new copy in another book pile around the house.
So you can be a Straw Hat Pirate! ❤️ You're kiddo has great taste. Happy Mother's Day!
The Google data center in Stillwater, OK takes up almost one square mile. They've destroyed the entire landscape, killed all the fish in the nearby ponds because of runoff, wrecked the roads via construction traffic, and it's directly across the street from a residential neighborhood.
Finishing up Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett and A Field Guide to Getting Lost by Rebecca Solnit.
Thank you, @trungles.com for putting this beautiful story into the world. Of all the days I could pick to read this it's my 25th anniversary of grieving butterflies, Kryptonite, and Neverland. When the universe gives me a story about grieving on a day that cuts open my own grief I pay attention!
My sibling just upped the ante on gallows humor. Her cat crossed the rainbow bridge this morning via humane euthanasia. She texted me, "my cat heard me say I was observing a no spend January and declared, 'we'll see about that!'" 😭😂
I crocheted this white leghorn chicken purse. I might try to make a rhode island red next time.
This tracks, but in the very hot and humid sense of the word since my entire state of being and personality are currently perimenopause. 😂
Last night I started reading Snake-eater by @tkingfisher.com. Made it to page 83 before going to bed. This afternoon I'm walking back to my house and see the tall grass move, something darts into my path, and runs towards my front door. I haven't finished the book. I don't know how this ends for me!
When we talk 𝐭𝐨 someone it suggests a one-sided conversation, while talking 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 suggests an actual conversation that both partners participate in having. I love that you are exploring the differences and commonalities in your faiths rather than trying to browbeat your partner into submission.
It didn't work for Trump or Biden, but did work for Fetterman and McConnell.
AI cannot be trusted! Imagine you are prescribed a medication, but after a few doses you aren't feeling well. You search for the common side effects and are horrified to find that somewhere on the internet a side effect listed is a serious mental health disorder instead of anemia.
Also, per your bio summary here is a picture of one of my pets instead of my politics.
📚💙 Victorian Psycho: A Novel by Virginia Feito. I checked this book out from the library after seeing reviews proclaiming, "I'm not sure what I just read" and "This book is unhinged." I'm so glad for honest reviews, because this book is all of that and more wrapped up in a tidy one day read.
Was just in NYC while visiting family. My kids rode the subway for the first time, walked around Central Park, Times Square, and visited AMNH. The only people that scared me were the cops speeding through overcrowded pedestrian areas and maybe the turtle with the long claws.
This one sentence 60 pages into a book took me out and I'm struggling to recover. I don't think it's asking too much for an author to look up what an old rotary phone looks like. 😂💀
Currently reading When the Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi. It's now day 5 in the book and I have no idea how the rest of it's going to play out, but I loved the shout-out to Stillwater, OK. Thank you 💙📚 for the book recommendation.
