It’s surprisingly (frustratingly!) unsung in Methodist churches, especially given the Charles Wesley of it all (and it’s one of my favorites). The UMH has five verses on a spread and then the full 14 on the page, with a footnote about Charles’ legacy, including John and Isaac Watts.
My gf bought me tickets to Jurassic Park: In Concert for my birthday this year because it’s one of my favorite movies and that day we decided to dress up at Satler and Grant. His performance just sells everything in that’s movie so well.
I just got Hades II over the weekend, and while I am a certified lesbian, Odysseus (“veteran tactician”) has a look to him that I can appreciate.
He identified himself as Marshan Camese on Instagram, @nolathaprogressive
Yeah no it’s just the problematic gay joke for sure, can’t be anyone better on the bench
This is Charlie, who’s really doing his best to help my gf and I prepare for a new D&D campaign
Not to fully dispute these numbers, but I’m wondering about the sample size here. Even from 1,055 LGBTQ adults, 111 trans/nonbinary adults feels small to extrapolate to “nearly 1 out of every 10 trans adults has moved states.” I don’t think the survey text itself extrapolates as much as the image.
I realize that social media tracks and collects everything… and also this new TikTok privacy policy feels so explicitly beyond that.
I posted this clip of my sermon from last week elsewhere and I’ll put it up here too. I preached on the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55) and talked briefly about how my trans identity is a gift from God and a joy in my life. Trans kids are a gift to see flourishing and we should help them do so.
I said this on other platforms but I feel like Bluesky needs it the most. Trans people especially have to take some deep breaths, read past the headlines, and go take care of ourselves and each other in our daily lives.
Yes, that would be the most recent Gallup survey on LGBTQ+ identification, which gives 1.3% trans IDs. It’s certainly a pretty big difference in estimate, but it feels like we’re still at the beginning to trying to do this research well too.
Durham’s been flooding off and on for days but it was nice to see this today.
I’ve never seen a win probability graph tell the other team to go home before
