I pruned about half of my wisteria on the old basketball hoop for about 45 minutes. This is the first year I’ve had a second blooming time. The flowers are smaller, but still smell good up close. A friend will prune the top vines. #gardening #gardens

After the revolution, students, from Jr. High to University went out into the campo to each everyone, young and old, how to read, once everyone in a region could read, they posted that flag. The youngest literacy volunteer was 8 years old.
I've been working to get a book proposal into an editor, so now I can get back to my Cuba trip. I think I posted something about the Literacy Museum already. It's my favorite museum in Havana. The flag below says "Territory Free of Illiteracy in Spanish."

Castro also took a lot of inspiration from Cervantes' Don Quixote, meaning he appreciated dreamers.
I was doing some research on X about lies that Marco Rubio has told about Cuba and found these gems in my feed. No one I used to follow or who followed me is in my feed anymore.
An evening of music and dancing at Cesar jazz club. The Latinos on the delegation were much better at dancing except for one of the people from the US. I had a cachanchara, perhaps the oldest Cuban cocktail, with the smoothest rum I have ever tasted. No bite at all.
