I visited the “National Hansen’s Disease Museum” (Tokyo). In Japan, Isolated in appalling conditions and suffering both physically and mentally. The exhibits serve as a living testament to the predecessors who, even under such circumstances, continued to fight to reclaim their rights. www.nhdm.jp

“Contemporary Tokyo,” the gallery where Kawakami is represented, has relocated to Taito Ward, Tokyo. This was an opening exhibition to commemorate the move, and Kawakami exhibited three paintings—both new and old. 川上が所属している画廊「Contemporary Tokyo」が東京都台東区に移転いたしました。移転を記念したグループ展であり、川上も新旧絵画を3点出展しておりました。
