Good day everyone!
Unfortunately, my drawing tablet of 3 years has stopped working entirely. So my hand has been forced to buy a new one. It's an unexpected expense, so I'd like to collect some commission money for it to pay itself off.
I'll start queuing up commissioners from now on a first come first serve basis, and I'll start working as soon as it arrives.
This is by no means an emergency, but I'd still greatly appreciate it, as a random spending of 100+ dollars while saving for other things understandably hits hard.

Plant w/ glasses Fun kaycee fact: the reason I draw my eyes so shiny (to a somewhat artificial degree) is in reference to the fact I wear glasses in real life I think that an unnatural touch to an otherwise all natural character makes for a fun design :3

No worries, I apologize. I did some research of my own since writing, Do you have auto keying turned on? I went on Stack Exchange and the people there say that it keys down any changes made on one frame, across the whole animation, which sounds like the issue you have It's the white circle here:

To: My fellow game devs and creatives in general Some shower thoughts I wanted to share. (Plain text in the alt text, if you need it for translation)

As a prospective indie game dev with (currently) no formal training, one of my biggest fears is that I won't be able to properly capture the brilliantly vivid ideas in my head. That after working so hard and passionately, in the end, I won't be able to realize the incredible vision I had, or worse, that same vision not being as brilliant as I thought..
This is a fear that's perpetuated every time I sit down to draw or write, where what's on the page is completely different from what's in my head.

This fear is alleviated whenever I revisit the first game in a series I love, just, sitting down and seeing this game that went through so many development cycles. From an idea sprouted and carried by a lead dev, to an idea discussed deeply in several board meetings, worked on by teams of developers overseen and guided by the lead dev.. and there was *still* room for improvement.
It's a spectrum from which comforting inspiration can be taken from every section.

In the middle there are games that had a solid core idea with some rough edges, which continued to be refined with every new entry. Like Super Robot Wars or Disgaea, phase-based strategy RPGs which grew into their own personalities between their gameplay mechanics and their artistic direction, coming into their very own in a genre in which games tend to be very similar to each other.

On one extreme end, there are those games where the first game is *entirely* different from the sequels. Ace Combat and Sly Cooper both started as an arcade flight sim and a minigame gauntlet respectively, before evolving into awesome franchises they are now, using the building blocks of the first game.

Then on the other end, you have the games who relatively got it right the first time, yet still found the space to improve after the fact, like Ratchet and Clank. The 2nd game sought to expand on the platforming and movement of the 1st, and 3nd, on the gunplay. Both games built on the firm ground the 1st one set up.

What comforts me is that, no matter what that first project is like, it doesn't have to define what your future games will be like. Rough mistakes don't spell doom, and you're still free to completely change your direction to keep moving towards that vision.
The only constant between these games are the fact that they had very passionate teams behind them. It wasn't the game dev skill or money that made their franchises successful, it was the sheer dedication to realizing a goal- a dream, which each game. Sly Cooper had a story to continue with each entry, Ace Combat had a world to expand on, Disgaea had jokes to juxtapose against meaningful stories. It's that passion that gave way to games like Ace Combat 5, Sly 2, etc.
It's never truly over. I'm always growing myself as a creative each day I have my goal in mind, and even after releasing my first game, there's still gonna be space for me to grow and make it better.

It's deeply comforting to know I can walk with my dream as a safety net if I fall, instead of a faraway object to chase relentlessly.

It took me over 4 months to draw this. This is a very personal piece, one that has followed me through one of my hardest, deepest lows. As both an artist and a person in general. But faith is the evidence of the light awaiting me, piercing through the depths. Hold your hand, and trust in yourself.
