This pest sucks the sap out of its host. Oh and the bug's no good either. Anyone identify them both? #BugAndABook (Listening to a book on a lazy afternoon when this pal lands outside my window.)
Walk around the parking lot. Becoming Tiger Lilies Mid-morning Glories (?) Vandalized Retaining Pool
Vandals. Vandals everywhere. Even in a small retwntion pond between a highway and a parking lot.
Nice surprise out the window tonight. The garden and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Garden's looking good. Peperomia Nevada aka the Happy Bean plant on duty purifying the air. Thought about starting an herb garden so I can cook with fresh herbs, but have not had much luck with that in the past. Oh the herbs grow all right. It's the cooking that's the problem.
Brunch munched. Dishes washed. Laundry drying. Iced tea chilling. Temporary tarp lowered. Gardening completed. Resuming the reading of Like a Cat Loves a Bird, The Nine Lives of Muriel Spark. Keeping an eye out for the best caption contest.
Garden's looking good this morning. Glad I got everything pruned and watered before the heat of the day set in.
Preordered through my local bookstore. Should arrive in a week. Can't wait. Like a Cat Loves a Bird @drjamesbailey.bsky.social
This afternoon's sound stash from outside mu building this afternoon. Didn't see many but I heard them.
I ask Alexa, "What book am I listening to?" Alexa tells me "L and acute Z and acute R" And says the author's name like "Nelly O'Biedermann"
I was going to recommend the Idaho Potato Museum but when I went to look up the link I found it is not niche after all.
I love how this nondescript tree, overlooked at the very far end of the parking lot ....
If you believe Merlin, somewhere up there is a great horned owl, a gray catbird, an American goldfinch, and a tufted titmouse. Or one of my neighbors doing bird imitations?
