Saw & Juliet at the Bushnell yesterday afternoon and it was fantastic! Smiled, laughed and danced in my seat for the entire show! And my former student Jared was phenomenal!! #TeamJuliet #SheChoseChaos
Very grateful for Street Law, my students past and present, and everyone who has supported this journey along the way. Thank you @streetlawinc.bsky.social
Teaching government and law has never really been about memorizing court cases or passing exams for me. It’s always been about helping students find their voice, challenge ideas, ask better questions, and realize they belong in these conversations too. Tonight felt like a celebration of that.
And having Matt Buckwald there too, a 2016 graduate from one of our Top Ten We the People teams who is now doing incredible work in DC, was another reminder of why this work matters so much.
What made the night even more meaningful was sharing it with two former students. Jiya, now a freshman at Georgetown University, introduced me for the award tonight. Seeing one of your former students standing at the podium speaking about your classroom is a pretty surreal feeling.
Still trying to process tonight a little. I’m incredibly honored to receive the Street Law, Inc. 2026 Classroom Champion Award in Washington, DC. @streetlawinc.bsky.social
Another half marathon in the books! Set out to do a full one (two legs) but opted to stop after one since I didn’t get to train. Sometimes you just know when you shouldn’t push it. Still loved my time in the woods at my favorite place and seeing all my awesome Team Fox friends. #rocktheridge #mohonk
Thank you for this incredible honor!! @streetlawinc.bsky.social Story: streetlaw.org/2026-classro...
8th in the Nation!!!! #soproud @civiceducation.bsky.social @ctdemocracycenter.bsky.social
What an amazing day! Really proud of this group. Smart, prepared, and confident. They brought amazing constitutional knowledge and represented Connecticut so well in the Top Ten finals last Sunday. I am so so proud of them!!! #WTPFinals @civiceducation.bsky.social
Tonight our We the People team took the stage for our Dress Rehearsal with Nationals just a week away. What stands out most isn’t just how prepared they are, but how much they genuinely care about the Constitution and the principles behind it.. Nationals is next. The pride is already there.
Great turnout in Milford CT today! Lots of energy, great energy and my puppy who loves democracy (and not our amateur wanna be king!!) #NoKingsDay #NoKingsMilfordCT
2025-2026 We the People State Champions!! We’re heading to Nationals!!! #14

26 Books in 2026 #1 The Wedding People by Alison Espach First book of 2026 didn’t disappoint. Thoroughly enjoyed the characters, the setting in Newport, and the crazy plot at times ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A day well spent wandering through the Arte Museum in New York City with the vibrant colors and definite sensory overload (in the best way). Finished the day with with some laughs at Irish Pubs. #PeterDillons #artemuseum #ladiesinthecity
