A friend sent me this and it truly describes the human condition in modern society
Still working on my little sub game. Starting to dig into the sound design which is one of the parts I'm most excited to do.
I got this small heat pump to try and survive the summer heat wave in the bedroom. Seems to work great but extremely stupid control electronics. Should I open up and attempt an upgrade?
Decided to use one of those fancy github profile analyzer things for my public repos. I guess my most used public language is g-code lol. that's what I get for committing too many 3D files.
This is what the page looks like. It SHOULD update in real time with a comparison of the two big players
More convinced than ever that bollard simulator could be a great game:
I love streaming real, human radio stations. I'm also an electronic nerd and spend lots of time in the terminal, so I built a little program to stream one of my favorites: rinse in the terminal. Check it out here and install it via homebrew if you'd like. github.com/keenanjohnso...
In my conservation work, I spend an incredible amount of time looking at pictures of crabs and kelp like this:
I'm playing around with generating ship wrecks and terrain from real survey data which is fairly accessible and free. What do you think. does this make the game feel more / real / fun?
Some basic progress on a little sonar HUD today for bloop.quest.
I made a little online multiplayer game inspired by my recent underwater robotics work. You can pilot a little ROV around the ocean, explore shipwrecks, take photos and categorize fish and things. It's multiplayer and I'm thinking of having treasure hunts, etc. Should I ship it? Would you play?
I have the (mis-?) fortune to have some possessions in a storage unit during a transitional period in life. Figuring out where things are in the unit is somewhat annoying, so I built a little web app to viz where things are with search etc. Is this just a me problem or anyone else?
Good luck to all the students traveling to University Rover Challenge (URC) this week! Building a robot on a budget with a bunch of friends and then constantly rebuilding it inside of random hotel rooms is certainly a peak university memory for me.
One of my favorite things is taking pictures of subtly unhinged street signs. Like this one where the person stands pondering his fate above the potentially deep water. He’s not actually in danger yet, just pondering that he could be, just like you the reader of the sign
