The North Shore was full of energy this evening, so much so that the seagulls were hunkering down and the waves both pushed us in and pulled us out. Delicious, if you stayed in confident depths. Such a healing place, tumbling the spirit like sea glass, sharper edges smoothed, revealing beauty. #PEI

Happiest PRIDE, everyone! My health has been a challenge recently so I needed to continue my self-prescribed quiet time at the shore, but I brought my colours! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ I hope the parade and other celebrations were fantastic 💕#PEI

I'm so stoked - I got Henry an even bigger cage and it finally arrived! It's a double-flight cage, essentially the biggest I can get before we're into outdoor aviary style cages. I can't stop grinning 🥰

I got this backpack carrier last year, but our vet warned bird owners against being outside (avian flu was raging). SO! We finally got to test it out and Henry had a great time 💕He got warm pretty quickly tonight (understandable, at 27C) so we kept it short, but definitely a success. 🦜

Another evening at the water followed up with BBQ in some of the prettiest soft light (that sweet spot just before it turns to the proper sunset). This time of year always has me remembering gratitude.

Islanders really are the best sometimes. 🥹❤️ I hope the young folks have a fab time at the concert, and I hope the owner gets to really relax. I'll have to make sure I visit and get a meal this summer.

It was lovely today - sunshine, warm enough to get a bit heated on our hike, but with the neatest cool fog rolling in over the water. I got my wish - I was somewhere green, unreachable 😌💕 (also, there were ducklings. DUCKLINGS.)

My heart is with the victims and survivors of the San Diego mosque shooting. It is not enough to avoid causing harm; we *must* actively engage in interrupting and countering harm we witness. Letting jokes and microaggressions slide provides the foundations upon which escalating violences flourish.

We biked from Brackley Beach to Robinsons Island today - my first time on a bike in way longer than I care to admit - we did great! (Matt's an old pro, ofc) And tonight, we had a campfire under cotton candy skies 🍭

Praise the woman in the pink fem coat or the one with short hair slicked back like a fox. Praise the one in leather. Praise the one in heels. Praise the one in ball caps and neckties. The one in nothing at all. Praise the crass one, the dimpled one, the angry one. Praise the woman who screams into the wet throat of night. Praise her who speaks so soft, it hurts. Praise them whose hands are full of flowers or babies or engines or hot hammers of rage. Envy is just love knocked off balance so praise the woman who moves like butter.
