I think I will spend my afternoon reading a good book. Narrator: She did not read the book
I will always appreciate the leadership and honesty Dr. Fauci showed during a truly terrible time
I think the argument has been blown out of proportion by the Internet. The post I saw said authors should not shame people who ask for easier words. It didn't say not to USE difficult words, but to not shame those who ask for help.
Not sure I'm seeing the scandal around corn and soy chicken feed. I don't think people purchase "pasture raised" eggs to avoid corn and soy. I think they want to avoid the cruelty of factory farmed laying. 🤷🏽♀️
Happy Caturday, I'm staying warm with my reading buddy/book critic Jiji
A wonderful gift from my brother, made more wonderful because it is a 2025 card, and starting in January the Park passes will have trump's picture. Seriously. After all he has done to desecrate the national parks. 🤮
Most adults I know who love to read were natural readers as children. I'm always looking for ways to share my joy of books with the ones who struggle at first.
Jiji knows what to do with a brisk November afternoon.

If you need a dose of literary self care: trot on down to the library and check out Carl Hiaasen.
There is a (rather large) part of me that just doesn't care. I wanted to work for a better future, but my representatives always put the needs of kids behind the needs of industry. I wanted to serve my community, but my community thought I was lazy and stupid and put their faith in charters. FAFO
I'm not sure if Brian Bilston has a history as a teacher, but he understands January. brianbilston.com/2024/01/31/m...
Snowmageddon is ending. The horrible snow and ice is melting. My hibiscus might not recover 😭
I usually have 2-5 books going at once, at least one nonfiction. My current is a narrative nonfiction about a couple's daring escape from slavery. Highly readable.
