Decided at the eleventh hour to put some slides together for my Conflict in Comics panel (about depictions of violence). Here is the one I'm proudest of
Yesss I found it! Any of these outfits from Mark Twain's writings on how the Native Hawaiians first approached wearing Western clothing would certainly make any kid stand out. TL;DR: they treated the clothes as non-gendered & purely decorative, not for covering up specific body parts
Mind you, this is the same kid who - just today - referenced a riddle from Squirrel Nutkin while he was peeing: "I make shower of rain!"
