Well, that might explain the deafening barrage I heard a few minutes ago, which I thought sounded like a whole evening's worth of fireworks going off all at once (it was so overwhelming that for a split second I thought it might be a tornado) 😬😢

Several years ago, @hogansalley.bsky.social noted this great moment in comics history: "Snoopy first walked on his hind legs on Jun 28, 1957." A seemingly minor event which turned out to be a stroke of genius. ♥️
"'...maybe just once a year -- if we could come here at the same time, just for an hour or something, then we could pretend we were close again -- because we would be close, if you sat here and I sat here in my world ... On Midsummer's Day...At midday. As long as I live. As long as I live ...'"
To quote @dutchtulips.bsky.social paraphrasing Garth Algar from Wayne's World, if Bessent were an ice cream flavor, he'd be pralines and d!ck. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

This must be some definition of "fit fine" with which I was previously unaware www.vogue.com/article/marc...
I would fulfill their request upon their receipt of the Golden Record from NASA's Voyager space probe, ca. 1978:
Closing out #MerMay with Art Herring, who pitched mainly for the Detroit Tigers and Brooklyn Dodgers -- with brief stints for the White Sox and Pirates -- during the 1930s-40s. He pitched to Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, and to rookie Jackie Robinson in 1947, his last season in the bigs.
I would like you to know that this has made me laugh out loud at random moments over the last day, & especially when I saw this picture in the NYT's Morning column this AM, in which he *absolutely* embodies "the pralines and dick" description. 😆
Screenshotting this from @anntelnaes.bsky.social so as to not give more oxygen to the AI image. She's right!
Because the Los Angeles Angels are in town, here's Mike Trout for #MerMay. (His bottom half is the coastal rainbow trout, which is found all along the California coast.) #GuardsBall 🐟
Might want to compile stats on empty gift wrap tubes as well 🤷 #MayTheFourthBeWithYou From my comic "Future, Past, and Present": kellykomics.com/2020/09/08/t...
"Should Weird Al Yankovic music *ever* be played in a major league ballpark?" Oh, fie, Tom Hamilton, fie! #GuardsBall #HowDareYouSir 😡
7/ Klaric's name doesn't appear anywhere in her namesake park -- or at least it didn't when I took this photo in June 2025.
2/ ... I do want to bring attention to the woman standing in the river. That's my homage to a (locally) famous photo of reporter Betty Klaric; Klaric worked for *The Cleveland Press,* initially as a "copy boy [sic]," & then as a general reporter.
Archibald "Moonlight" Graham Brouse ("Archie," "ArchieCat," "Booger," "Archibaldo," "Mister Paw," "Sweet Beast," & c.), [sometime before June 2010] - March 28, 2026. He was a *tremendous* cat. I miss him more than I can possibly express. 😭💔
