Ralphie likes to sit on my lap.

The last episode was when my cardiologist signed me up for a baseline stress test. Got to the test and they hooked me up: I was in AFIB. I had no idea. They had me do the stress test anyway. During the middle of the test, my heart converted. I had my watch keeping track here’s my ❤️ during the test.

This boy was my companion for 18 years. He was found on a country road at 4 weeks old with his mother and siblings run over and dead. I took him because my girlfriend (now wife) asked me to.

Golf is a sport that is popular with women and increasingly so. The LPGA has been in existence since 1950 making golf a pioneer women’s professional sport. Golf is an expensive sport and not at all a great use of land. But to characterize it as played only by absent fathers is iffy.

My wife wanted a new cat and she picked out a tuxedo cat. But he had a brother who was all-black. We took both of them because we thought the black cat might not otherwise get adopted. His name is Leonard and he’s a sweet boy. The tuxedo cat is Ralphie.

Compare Covid to Polio. The polio vaccine was one of the most important public health triumphs of the 20th century. The deaths were miniscule compared to Covid. The Covid vaccines were arguably every bit the triumph. Somehow we’ve collectively lost our minds.
