I joined fellow legislators and relatives of Coloradans who lost their lives in recognizing the adoption of six new driving laws. This was the most consequential legislative session for traffic safety in decades and I'm honored to have helped pass these laws for Coloradans.

Recently attending the Broomfield Japan Festival, I am honored to recognize the 25 years of friendship between Broomfield and Ueda, Japan. With a long history of exchanging cultures, languages, investments, and people, I look forward to help further strengthen these ties.

While I am proud to say that Colorado was ranked as the top state for education, our kids are still struggling in reading and math. We need to ensure that our education system receives enough funding to combat budget reductions and to allow our schools and students to succeed.

The has reached an agreement with BNSF Railway for the joint service of railways owned by BNSF. The Colorado Connector (CoCo) will be funded by the Front Range Passenger Rail District by 2029! I also appreciate the extremely cute mascot CoCo with the Denver Broncos colors!

The Colorado Sun is shining a bright light on the dark money here in House District 33. Dark money groups who do their best to hide their donors have spent about $250,000 against me. What we do know of the donors behind these groups, like One Main Street, is alarming!

In 2006, four CU Boulder students started New Era Colorado as they were driven by the belief that young people are essential to moving the country forward. As one of the youngest legislators at the State Capitol, I was proud to join New Era's 20th Anniversary at my alma mater!

I am happy to announce that HB26-1320, was signed into law by @colorado.gov! In Colorado we cherish the right to democracy through our ballot measures. This law directs the Title Board to write ballot titles using concise, accessible, and understandable language for all Coloradans.

I joined Scott Moss, a law professor who has investigated Dark Money influencing our elections in Colorado. For weeks a new Independent Expenditure Committee based in Durango called "Promoting Progressive Women" has been trying to influence this election, including a new AI slop ad attacking me.

We need legislators who have a record of standing up to Trump and ICE. I supported legislation (SJR26-006, HB26-1276, HB26-1283, SB26-005, and SB26-176) aimed at safeguarding constitutional rights for immigrants and will continue fighting to keep ICE out of our communities.

I'm honored to announce that HB26-1335 Abortion Medication Access on College Campuses has been signed into law by Governor Jared Polis @colorado.gov With this act Colorado safeguards reproductive healthcare by streamlining access to abortion mediation on our college campuses in the post-Dobbs era.

I am proud to announce my HB26-1095 was signed into law by the Governor. This law allows for the statewide public notice website to make a list of newspapers that meet the requirements to publish legal notices online and would require newspapers to publish such notices for free.

To commemorate the 150th and 250th Anniversaries for our state and country, I joined Adams County Commissioners in unveiling the 48 Star flag at the Adams County Veterans Memorial. As a Representative of Adams County, I am honored to recognize our servicemembers and history.

To celebrate AANHPI Month, I joined the International School of Denver as the first Vietnamese American in the Colorado State Legislature! Every student deserves a civic education, and I'm proud to share my story as a kid of refugees who learned to lead with compassion and service to others.

Hi this is Colorado State Representative Kenny Van Nguyen. Governor Polis' decision to reduce Tina Peters sentence is deeply troubling and disappointing. A Colorado jury in a Republican community found her guilty for actions that compromised election security.

For the past 120 days I've had the honor of serving at the State Capitol as Colorado's newest lawmaker. Since my appointment in January, I've been doing the work to ensure the needs of House District 33 are fought for at the legislature.

Before the end of session, I joined my fellow colleagues and numerous Consul Generals in recognizing May 12th as Colorado International Friendship Day. Thank you to the representatives from various countries who joined us on this celebratory day as we look to further our relationships abroad.

As the legislative session comes to a close, I would like to recognize Brian Vu, Madeline Vu, Noah Alleman, Nour Idris, and Adis Bajraktarevic who have been instrumental to the success of our office and to the representation of House District 33! Thank you all for your service to our community!

As the 2026 legislative session comes to a close, I asked a few of my colleagues what they are most proud of. The work is never done, but despite the budget shortfalls I'm proud of how much we were able to accomplish for Coloradans!
