Cicero, Porter crews had to bring a
pedestrian bridge to the plane to remove
the passengers, get their bags, refile flight
plans and do other paperwork.

Hertzberg said the pilot announced around
midnight that the airport's runway would
close at 12:30 a.m. and the flight wouldn't
be ready for takeoff in that time.

"So then we all just got off, everyone's
pissed, and then we just waited in the gate”
to ask about rebooking and other issues,
Hertzberg said.

The Saltfleet Conservation Area Wetland Restoration Project leverages existing natural features to protect local homes and businesses from the risks of flooding and erosion. The project has two important parts:

Four new wetlands in the upper Battlefield Creek and Stoney Creek areas east of Hamilton, and a new conservation area above the Niagara Escarpment.

By taking a thoughtful, nature-based and cost-effective approach to address flooding, the Hamilton Conservation Authority has created a local gem that delivers environmental, community and health benefits to the Hamilton area.

Once complete, the four Saltfleet wetlands will be able to hold as much water as 236 Olympic-size swimming pools!

This project is key example of how the work of Ontario's Conservation Authorities leveraging nature's existing assets can address flooding and erosion, climate change, protect our environment, and improve quality of life in our communities.

The Saltfleet Conservation Area opened in 2021 and is home to unique natural features including wetland marshes, woodlots and 50 species of breeding birds. The area includes a new trail which connects the popular Devil's Punchbowl Conservation Area with the Dofasco Trail, a popular multi-use trail on Hamilton's East Mountain.

The Conservation Area is the east Hamilton and offers a new place for hiking, biking and outdoor recreation. It also helps alleviate traffic at Devil's Punchbowl Conservation Area that attracts thousands of visitors each year. As our communities grow, preserving natural areas helps ensure our neighborhoods remain amstive places to live, work, visit and raise a family.

The Saltfleet Project is a natural long-term and cost-effective solution to local flooding issues that strengthens the region's to climate change.

Hey @cogecoconnexion.bsky.social , the closed captioning on your EPICO app on Roku is still not working. It has been over 18 months and still no fix. Your technicians just say it is a “known issue” with your app. Really poor for accessibility. When will this be corrected?

I switched a few weeks ago. They made it easy to import my email & contacts. The trickiest thing was learning how to turn off the automatic“digital signatures” which were boxes that seemed sketchy to many of my contacts. So I’m attaching a screenshot with instructions, in case you need them.

What you're seeing is expected behavior when messages are digitally signed. The signature. asc file is attached so recipients can verify the authenticity of the email, but it isn't required for reading the message and can be confusing for some recipients.
You can disable this by following these steps:
1. Go to Settings
2. Open All settings
3. Navigate to Encryption and keys
4. Disable "Sign external messages" and
"Attach public key"
Once disabled, emails you send will no longer include the signature. asc attachment.
