I am inclined to want to agree with the implicatons of this chart - but it is press release science and just an empty vessel you can pour any preferred meaning into.

A very healthy thing for journalism could do is to STOP quoting absolutely useless, conspiratorial, uninformed and uneducated anonymous "social media users" just to fill a few column inches.

Ideas (even good ideas) are cheap but execution and market fit are still hard. Success is grown in the crucible of struggle (effort + time + learning) so the faster we launch any product or service the more too-early public prototypes will fail.
