Visited this very cool independent bookshop today: it's home to three cats and LOTS of books, both new and secondhand. Also an in-house coffee shop! Highly recommended, if you're passing by Foxton.

Twenty-three years ago I went for a first date at Leuven, the Belgian bar in Featherston St, Wellington. Today - because Leuven is closing next week - my date (who's now my husband) and I returned to have a farewell drink at this fine establishment. We sat at the very same table as before, too! 😍🍷

I was rostered to make dessert for the family Christmas dinner, but had a bad head cold all the week before. So on 22 Dec I made an executive decision to order it in, instead: half a tiramisu torte and half a black forest torte. 10/10, have no regrets. Might do it again next year, tbh.
