My inevitable Start Of The School Holidays Cold caught up with me, just as I needed to ride 88km from Rennes to Mont St Michel. Medicinal sour strawberries to aid recovery.

I do not normally shower when camping but my OH persuaded me to try it, and it was the sensory and anxiety inducing horror I knew it would be. And I dropped my towel in the water. And that, as my SaLT friend would say, is another thing to put in my autism bucket. Sticking with this:

It's our 28th wedding anniversary, so we went for a picnic lunch. No trying to find a parking spot - just roll up and get the food out!

I was at an unexpected loose end today, so I decided to ride into town and go for a wander with my camera. I'm having a lovely time messing about with lenses, and people keep asking about my bike, which always makes me happy.

Saw this poppy on my ride this morning.

Ironic, given that I'm currently ill with a cold. But having an e-cargo bike means I still get out to do the Saturday shopping run without feeling too awful. And I've picked up a medicinal maple pecan pastry.

My youngest has spent her gap year working at our local college, and one of her roles has been facilitating/supporting the LGBTQ+ society. She brought me a #pride sticker back from their last meeting of the year, so of course it had to go on the pannier.

Found my first #prideofsheffield lion! I've also seen three friends, and lots of squirrels and birds. It really is better by bike.

Yesterday, I visited the city of my studenthood - it's been about a decade since I was last there. Brighton, it was nice to see you again.

It's my birthday. I've ridden my bike, the tent is up and I'm having pizza later. AND I have a new birthday cap from #bluelug . I am feeling very fortunate.

It's not immediately obvious, but my other half is carrying a camping toilet on the back of the bike... #carryshitterolympics, if you will. I'll see myself out.

We got rid of the car last month. Not missing it.

The other half and I finished riding the Rebellion Way today (with a few small reroutes)... treating ourselves to a night in a Travelodge and pizza to celebrate, because we know how to live.

Went for an Easter swim at Little Bar Brook this morning, and saw a snake! Not 100% sure exactly what type it was, if anyone can help ID it...
