Can we please dispense with the idea that "prediction market" sites are anything but straight up gambling? There's no special wisdom underlying these "predictions." They are just bets that can be gamed by insiders. These aren't investments markets. It is gambling and should be regulated as such.

It was a beautiful day to cut the ribbon on River Renew! After many years of incredible work, this system is now up and running and ensuring that outflows from Alexandria no longer pollute the Potomac River!
Last night, Governor @abigailspanberger.com hosted folks from across Virginia at the Governor’s Mansion to celebrate Pride Month. We are so fortunate to live in a Commonwealth where our leaders are committed to equality! Let’s keep the hope of Pride going into July — and onto victory in November!

It was Multi-Modal Mon… err, Tuesday. Meetings in Old Town and DC gave me the chance to travel around the region by bike, bus, trolley, and train!
It’s an absolutely beautiful day for Bike to Work Day! As I rode my trusty e-bike to King Street Metro Station today, I was grateful that previous Councils made it safe for me to do so by adding bike lanes to Seminary and King. Let’s keep making Alexandria streets safe for all their users!
It was a baking-heavy Sunday yesterday. I made a red velvet cake, a loaf of wheat bread, and dinner rolls, all of which came out pretty well!
And, for those who are interested, here is how the seats would be projected to break down, state by state, based on the map above.
Here's an example of such a map. This increases the size of the US House to the cube-root of the US population (693 seats). Any state with 9 or fewer House seats (half of them) has one district. Any state with more seats has multiple districts that are designed with simple rules.
Today’s fun baking project was making a pan de mie in a Pullman pan. It’s the very opposite of a rustic, round boule!
