Sadly my old photos are lost, as I no longer have Facebook, but it's just dawned on me that today marked fifteen years since I started my working life on the railway. Not much compared to some of you, that time has been shared across roles with CrossCountry and Northern. Here's to the next 15(+)! 🍻🤞

Morning. Back to the grindstone after a fantastic (but chilled) two weeks off. Last break until after summer but let's not think about that... 0415 alarm, up at 0404 - I'll take that but don't appreciate the thunder and the rain storm! ⚡
And that's a wrap. Time to get home, walk the dogs and get my tired ass to bed! No more work until 28th May at least. Woo! 🎉

Night 6 of 7. This evenings work commute audio selection comes courtesy of James's farewell concert at the MEN Arena In December 2001. It was recorded and released on the album Getting Away With It (Live) and it is honestly marvellous.
Night 5 of 7. We're getting there, slowly. Tonight's soundtrack on the (shorter) commute into work is 1997's Impossible Princess by Kylie Minogue. Lesser known and liked, but there's some absolutely fabulous songs on this record. Yes, I know. Look, I'm gay, alright? 😂

I had a moment. I'm tired okay? 'cross-peak' and 'over the Peak District' - obviously I meant the Hope Valley. I just forgot briefly that it had a name 🤣 I do love the journey though, especially between Chinley and Bamford where it all opens up with wild moorland and wooded areas on both sides. 😍
