Looking for a Lalor marriage on the ITMs- found a marriage on the same page where my great-uncle John Riordan was the priest celebrating the marriage- bride was a Manzoni so would have been from Ross where he was parish priest.

You can’t see them clearly here, but when I was doing part of the Hauraki cycle Trail just before one of the storms arrived and I raced home - saw spoonbills on a macrocarpa tree near Miranda.
Autumn seems to have advanced so much in just a week. Full on falling leaves and colours. Esplanade, Palmy.

In 1881 before vaccinations were dreamed of, there was a suspicion diphtheria was in my Scettrini ancestor's family. Turned out not to be, but it created a great deal of unease in the district, and lots of activity on the medical front.

Went to Terrace End Cemetery (Palmy) today to take some grave photos. A calm sunny day, the best kind of autumn day- makes the cemetery a peaceful place to be.
