Puppy pic of the day. Took Noodle, our newest, to the dog park & caught her in a rare, *still*, moment of contemplation in the early morning sun. 🥰 I’ve been having a blast sharing custody of her with my bff. Highly recommend.
ICE tear-gassed union workers gathering & marching. I was one of thousands. There were numerous kids there. People had dogs with them. There were nurses, teachers, & caregivers’ unions. Fuck this fascist regime & anyone supporting it.

Happy Father’s Day to my Dad, retired Army FAO & Gulf War vet who went to his first protest ever yesterday. 🫶 I wish his retirement were more peaceful, but glad he’s showing up.
My favorite signs & marchers yesterday were elders. They have so much to lose & it’s shameful they had to be out yesterday at all. After asking for permission, I photographed Val, who walked the entire route with her walker, a simple sign posted to the front which said “Enough”.
My dog went to a b’day party for another pup & she was NOT pleased with having to wear a party hat. Not. Pleased.

Recently at work, I found a vintage copy of National Geographic from 1964, after Kennedy was laid to rest. This quote from him is hitting me hard, in light of the pure cowardice being exhibited by elected officials right now & the absolute betrayal of the American ppl.
Currently my screensaver so Nick Cave will shame me into working on creative things instead of doing edibles & watching “Asparagus” on YouTube again.
