Finally had some bacalhau - in a bread roll - with a nice locally brewed IPA in Sintra. We also had (and still have as they are super rich) some local pastries from Ericeira.
My session wasn’t so great (new break, out of shape and not great conditions) but the kids had a good time. The jaunty little helmets look very Australian to me for some reason.
We are staying in Ericeira rather than Lisbon, but definitely yes to seafood! I had ceviche with local fish last night and want to try a place that has bacalhau. The supermarket had an entire aisle full of it!
We’re a little unlucky with the weather in Ericeira (June gloom today until we leave on Saturday) but the hotel’s mini-golf course complete with peacock hazard has been a huge hit.
