Roy and his parents Blackbeard and Rosestar Koopa.

Besides Blackbeard being based on the real Captain Blackbeard, he's also modeled after Lucius from Bone.
Rosestar, similarly, is based on Gran'ma Ben from Bone.

It seems they're both from separate pirate groups. They may have come into conflict with one another, fallen in love, and raised a child to follow in their footsteps to cheat and pilfer.

If you don't like the comic's idea of the two being separate orphans, I can give some notes on what their parents could've been.

Wendy's parents could've been bakers. Cooking is a pretty demanding and precise hobby, and there's a sponsor in MK8D about Wendy's homemade donuts.

Lemmy will always be tied to the circus, so his parents could hang somewhere in the physical entertainment side. Actors, clowns, ringmasters, stuntkoopas, you name it.

Ludwig, with his parents Johann and Helene von Koopa. They've already been named in the comic itself.
Obviously, Johann is based on the actual father of Ludwig van Beethoven.
Helene is based on Helene von Breuning, someone Ludwig van Beethoven referred to as his "second mother" because of how she shaped his career in a more favorable light.

Larry and his parents LonLon and Margaret Koopa.
Larry is lazy, so what better to model his parents after spoiled folk who rose to the top and generally made things worse for others?

Morton and his parents Morton Koopa Sr. and Mamorton.
It's basically how they're depicted in the comic, though with color added to them. Mamorton is pink because the two are designed to be ridiculously simple male/female palette swaps.
I'm sure they don't actually look like that if I didn't account for the comic, but this is a funnier outcome.

Iggy and his parents Murdoc and Ren Koopa.
Murdoc is modeled after... well, Murdoc from Gorillaz, while Ren is modeled after Ron Asheton from The Stooges, the band where Iggy's namesake, Iggy Pop, comes from.
Spiritually, I wanted Iggy's birth to feel like an accident between two band members who never really wanted a child but had to balance between him and their music career. Keyword "had."
Murdoc Koopa doesn't necessarily have to be a Koopa. He could just be the actual Murdoc from Gorillaz who fucked a turtle before abandoning his son for the army.
