Ok I got over the horror bump with Companion, a not really horror film but more sci-fi, I guess. 7/10 It’s clear that Companion walked so Obsession could fly though. Both had some good gender themes

And you can tie the bleakness of the crack cocaine epidemic to that time. As a Black millennial, this nation likes to segregate its problems, so Crack is always viewed as a Black moral failing rather than a societal epidemic. New Jack City is my fav bleak 80’s movie

Wasn’t this also integrated busing, in Boston? We already know who will be bussed where; it’ll look like before won’t it? Properly fund predom Black schools, and incentivize others to come there based on merits. Or build integrated schools intentionally.
I’m not disagreeing with Fetterman being a Manchin 2.0. If the brother who he pulled a gun on says “yeah he’s dishonest, but it wasn’t all that”, I think that is a larger reason it was minimized
