I was just out walking the dog down the street when I looked up to see this beauty. Pileated woodpecker, the largest woodpecker species in my area.

Just morning snuggles before class

This is what a baby sea lion looks like, very very different. Seals have to pull themselves out of the water two and all the time are vertical in the water column. How do you think they get on ice sheets?

Saw this little baby yellow ray off the dock of the marina. Talked to some of the elasmobranch scientist on the dock and they hadn't ever seen a baby! Cool find!

Sadie and Willow had their first trial dog walk to prepare for me going back to school during the day. She seemed really nice and I'm sure Sadie will get used to it. Today she was confused why I wasn't leaving the house but she was. #dogsofbluesky
