One ornamental pod base complete (more or less) That makes about... 20% overall completion, probably.
Shiny wheels and pointy things- Believe it or not, the side projects are still alive. The going has been slow, and record heatwaves didn't help, but it's still coming along.
I have another entry for you today from the #KochichBookClub Two entries actually, as unbeknownst to me at the time of purchase: this gorgeous tome is, in fact, two in one. And they are both amazing. Allow me to introduce you to "The Travelling Cat Chronicles" and "The Goodbye Cat" by Hiro Arikawa
Enthralling Chapter 1 - The Guest Star We begin fr for real now #EnthrallingComic #comic
I have much love for my xp-pen tablet, but their key-dial accessory has proven less than reliable (read: hot piece of garbage that breaks after few months). So I reached into my budget and bought a Tourbox, since I've seen people praising it. For just shy of 200€ this thing better outlive me...
Preamble - page 2 The squirrel has something important to say... #EnthrallingComic #comic
Have a peek at a separate side project I'm also working on here and there, because I can't help myself. Wanted to do something line-less again, will maybe finish it before the end of the year. xD
Enthralling Chapter 0 - Preamble We begin with a peek behind the curtains. The creatures are getting ready to perform. #EnthrallingComic #comic
Haven't teased progress on the big project in a while. Got two pages done (if you count a cover as one), and hoping to have the third done before the end of the week. So far it's looking like we'll be maybe able to release 2-3 pages a month. Starting very soon (next month), so stay tuned!
Today on Kochich Complains: In case anyone was wondering why I stopped uploading new art to DA How can a company get so out of touch with the community that built them up is beyond me.
After way too long, I was finally able to make the time to read a book again. And with that the #KochichBookClub returns at long last! Today with 'The Children of Captain Grant' by Jules Verne (also known as 'In Search of the Castaways' and like three other names apparently, because why not)
Oh I'd almost forgot to post this update. The temptation was too powerful in the end... (I also bought a little shelf to make the plush corner slightly more presentable. xD)
Indeed, I consider this a life achievement of sorts, I feel like printing this out and putting it in a frame.
Top Dog A quick little piece I put together for today's 20th anniversary of #Okami , a gem of a game that continues to age like fine wine. If you haven't played it, you better fix that. You got time until the sequel comes out (you can/must still play it after, but I'll be mildly disappointed).
"The computer says No..." Haven't been able to access my notifications at all for most of today. Granted, this may not necessarily be related, but: I can't help but remember the one time a Bluesky dev boasted about 90% of their code being written by AI, and yeah, I think it's been showing lately.
The picture was originally planned to contain the whole mech, but I couldn't make the composition work with the characters, sadly had to crop out most of it in order for them to look good. As such, here's a bonus picture of just the mech in full without the characters and less DOF blur, enjoy!
"No way! I can't BELIEVE this!" ~ Dr Ivo Robotnik, 1998 This is a somewhat special piece, cause I wanted to draw something like this for just about 20 years now. Tails is easily my most favourite character of the entire franchise (though he's got some new competition recently...)
Progress report, Enthralling now has a total of 14 pages sketched, which is 5 intro pages and 9 ch1 pages (maybe about a third of the chapter length). This might be enough buffer for me to start slowly drawing the first full quality pages... + Side project featuring big mech is nearing completion.
I heard today is the day of rats! So here's a sketch of a rat character I've made from an idea I had a long time ago, but never had a good enough excuse to draw before. Marvin usually repairs magical instruments and simple constructs, but every now and then he gets... more interesting clientele.
We also have some developments on the web-development front! The comic website now has - a proper favicon instead of sad blank space - a proper logo and banner instead of sad plain text
Aight I think it's time for some progress updates, this time with some pictures as proof of said progress for once. xD Let's just say my time estimations have not gotten any better since last summer and I'm not anywhere near where I though I would be. BUT,
