Furry, brony, history and aviation nerd, and a certified dumb bastard. Sometimes NSFW. -28
Just got bitched at for my profile pic on my pup twitter so here it is but in full :3
So, noticed the braille at one of the local gay bars and… do y’all see what’s wrong with it?
I was out at the hangar last night cleaning up a project a friend gave me and went over to the O club to get another soda. Heard something as I got closer and the damn officer’s club radio under the stairs was on by itself
Last weekend a furry friend flew over to visit and had me pose for a couple shots with his plane
I remember being a kid and having to hold my grandma’s hand to cross a street. Yesterday she had to hold mine to keep herself steady. And I found myself asking where the years have gone already
Things I forgot I had until I find them in my storage containers no.177: a tile from the Space Shuttle
This is like those Girl Scouts that set up cookie stands outside gyms
Got my second roll of 35mm film back. Warbird time (guest staring Bonanza)
Love being a fur in aviation cause then it means I get even more badges to hang up in my office
Gotta do some touch ups where paint got scraped off but new officer’s club sign is mounted
Got the ribbon bar sewn onto my Canadian Army battledress finally. Looks much better than the modern style bar they were mounted on before
Got my first roll of 35mm film back from development. Not bad for my first time with that particular camera. Especially since it’s almost 85 years old and I just eyeballed the exposures
Also got around to sewing the ribbons onto my wool RCAF jacket. Thank god I’m not old enough to play a general at reenactments. I couldn’t handle sewing on a couple dozen ribbons
Finally mounted the ribbons on my RCAF tropical tunic. I love the look but to hell with sewing ribbons on
Making new general’s plates for the museum Willys Jeep and staff car. Going to have 1-5 star plates
Making a new plate for the Willys. If I’m going to play a photographer for SHAEF, may as well have a plate to match
Having to repair my old first aid bag tonight cause someone hung it on the side of the army truck and then drove it without checking where it’d rub. So then the tire wore a nice big hole in the corner. Half my bandaids, some gauze, and my iodine tablets fell out all over the highway
Don’t feel like forking out $150 for a M2 paratrooper helmet so converting this $50 reproduction M1 into an M2 helmet like what they would’ve used on D-Day. Already got the old bales removed, just gotta clean it up. Then weld on new and dress it up like the one on the right
Got the sign that hangs under it done too. Other side is gonna say “closed for event” since we rent out our O-club
Finally got the snaps added to the trench knife scabbard. Local friend and I ground off the hand guard to be more like what the paratroopers used in WW2 and gotta say, not bad for an amateur
