I finally started backing up & organizing photos from my phone to my computer. I got all the way to Oct 2023. I can finish downloading them this weekend & work on sorting them later. Just clearing the phone seemed insurmountable for awhile. All 3 kitties are sleeping face to face again tonight!

I moved a few up from the bottom. I was wrong. I have a lot of other people’s pets. Mostly Russell from UK (blind Persian), Adonis, my cats, and TallFroGuy critterposting shots. I have used the Adonis stank face with effects added to get my teen son to respond to texts 🤣

We resurfaced our front porch, rebuilt our front steps, and put in a bee friendly little entry garden. In conjunction we are donating, reselling, emptying, recycling as much as we can in order to simplify our lives and clear out clutter. Nowhere near done, but striving for simplicity and peace ☮️

New porch revamp and garden. Things are already going a bit sideways because of the heat and lack of rain. Trying not to overwater and kill everything in compensation…

Got a visit from angry cat today. She hasn’t been hanging out with me much since her wars with the smaller cat. She spent some time getting scritches & purring lightly. 😻 And the new front bee-friendly garden is in. Just have to tidy it up and take care of it. It’s lower maintenance than our old 🌱.

Our boy cat made it through dental surgery. He’s minus seven teeth, but he’s still here. With the girl cats fighting all of the time he hasn’t been getting enough attention and I feel like I missed his tooth problem for far too long. Guilt. ☹️😿 Here he is in his little IV boots.

Here is the old baby blanket. I could only find two small sections with enough there to reference. There is only one tiny bit of the scalloped blue border left along a bottom edge.

My cat that has been causing trouble since September jumped up on the bed and laid on my chest and forcefully requested some petting. She then curled up on the blankets and slept in her previous favourite spot, which she hasn’t done for over six months! There were no cat fights or drama. 😻

I got a pile of games in the mail this week. Now I’m spoiled for choice.

Aside from the two living trees, the junipers & the two small shrubs, the only things in this yard are two small hostas under the big tree & a super sized rock. Pretty soon there will be lavender again (I killed the last two with aggressive pruning) & lots of bee friendly native plants & bulbs. 🐝

A small person in my family did that once. There was a lot of crying and hiding. It was so short and it took a very long time to grow out. Coincidentally that same person now often has very long hair at the front. 😭 🫣

I got small finger puppet toy to see what my former stray cat would do with it. She was found by the side of the road with kittens about 11 yrs ago. We have been having cat fights since September and although things are now going in a promising direction, I am always looking for ways to keep her 🙂

Similarly grey here. Played chicken with blocked traffic lights yesterday and they’re still snow covered today. 🤣 Need a win to boost the mood.

I accidentally locked up these two in the same room & the attack cat sat outside the room patiently waiting for me to come home so they could interact. They walked past each without a seat or hiss. I then gave the attack cat some catnip and her favourite toys and everyone stayed calm. That’s a win!

I couldn’t put this book down. I’m reading The Radium Girls now. It’s also unputdownable. I will need a lighter read next because these books are tragic.

He’s waiting…..

This cat was abandoned by the side of a highway with a litter of kittens when she was about 6 mos old. It took her nearly 8 yrs to allow us to walk up to her at a food bowl or resting place without her running away. She sleeps next me at night & seeks us out to play & have pets. Mirri might change🤷🏼‍♀️

My old polydactyl Manx cat. I loved this cat more than any other cat I’ve ever owned. She was spunky, a protective guard cat (would growl like a dog at hated people), skilled at catching things, smart as hell, funny and beautiful. I will miss her forever. The picture is bad but she was the best!
