Did the charity shops again and hit the Richard Scarry Motherlode! I’ll never get bored of seeing his little guys going about their busy business. Also found a great Mordillo kids book from the 70s, full of his trademark big-snooted creatures and pee jokes. Pity it smells incredibly mouldy

That's an interesting idea! An ambling and bumbling, but actually quite sharp and spiky creature. A hedgehog that can do that classic thoughtful-but-startled JB look would fit the bill
