I first started donating blood on my 17th birthday. Now, full circle, I ended up donating on my 34th 🎉 44 Canadian Donations 🇨🇦(33 whole blood + 11 platelet) and 5 England Donations 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 49 Donations total!

This Monday has been a deep dive into Canada’s biodiversity frameworks and legislation! 🇨🇦🌎🧪📑

I was nervous for teaching evaluations to come out - but I'm so shocked at the overwhelmingly positive things that students had to say about me!! I had the best time teaching this year, and it is such a privilege to be able to teach at a university 🌎🧪🎓👩‍🎓🫀🫁

Kristina is a very caring, considerate, and understanding instructor. She provides students with lots of study and learning resources that are helpful. He powerpoint slides provide a good summary and also focuses on what to study. She encourages students to speak up and is respectful to each individual. | can tell she wants her students to succeed. She takes the time to explain things and she is good at teaching the important concepts. She emphasizes on what will and what will not be on the tests and exams. She also checks up on students if they need help.

Kristina was a great instructor. She went above and beyond by providing us with PowerPoints and quizzes that she personally created. She walked around lab checking in with everyone to ensure understanding and explained things well when asked. I can tell she cares about student success. Her empathy is a great asset to students dealing with the convoluted subject matter. I hope she continues to teach!

Kristina has been such a great instructor. She always asks us if we have any questions and explains what seems unclear in a detailed manner until it is understood. Without her help, it would have been very difficult to go through
the 6 months journey.

Well now I’m sobbing in my office after getting a few emails like this. Can’t believe a year of teaching is slowly coming to a close. Feeling grateful to have had the opportunity to teach anatomy & physiology to many many students ♥️

The Mendeley Cite plugin in Word has been severely messing up my references repeatedly, and the only fix is to manually go through all my references to delete the duplicates. Mendeley - you've now made an enemy

2025 was the year of reading for me - 21 books in total which is a new record! Delved into some classics that I never read when I was younger, the entire Hunger Games series, and re-read Dan Browns’ Robert Langdon series in preparation for the 5th book that came out this year! #Booksky 📚

Finished reading book #21 of the year 🦇🌎🧪 It’s exciting how ideas that framed my research questions were presented in one part of the book My MSc was literally on researching the underlying mechanism of resistance to white-nose syndrome in big brown bats!
