After a driver destroyed the streetcar stop on Jackson east of 12th, another driver drove onto the sidewalk and struck two people at 12th and Jackson, and a utility truck hit a cyclist at 12th and Yesler. And here's our sidewalk on 8th at Jackson when Diamond Bay is busy. Things are fine in the CID.

I took this photo recently while walking by Hoa Mai Park. The initial designs featured a canopy, but the park was built without shade. Everyone in the park on this afternoon sought the shade of a neighboring building. Seattle Parks let us down here. 1/2

I'm not seeing any improvement. I'm concerned a neighbor will be hurt and I'm also concerned Seattle taxpayers will have to foot the bill for a settlement when they are. If you're riding in the sharrow lane and it ends, your only choice to continue straight choice is the streetcar lane
@seattledot.bsky.social I went down to check at lunch. Lane closure still effect. Not only did I see several cyclists forced to use the streetcar lane, but one actually dismounted and walked their bike across the tracks mid-block
I called this in, but @seattledot.bsky.social this is an injury (and lawsuit) waiting to happen. It's been several days. Westbound cyclists on Jackson are forced to merge into the streetcar lane. I didn't see a signed detour onto Main or sidewalk (which has a bus stop). And King doesn't go through.
Can you confirm the location? My confirmation had the wrong date and the correct data and said the event was at SEIU 775.
Second intruder. Passed within two feet of us. They “have to pick up boxes”. I explained that loading is allowed before 11am. They were not dissuaded, obviously

We have our first invader. Drove around us. We tried to wave him off and when he parked he came over and we explained there are no cars allowed after 11. He insisted that it must be a change, as they’ve always been allowed.
Seattle friends: help reclaim this plaza for people! Tomorrow, Sunday, May 3, 11am-? Come down to Occidental at Jackson St (by Caffe Umbria) with a chair, food, drinks, games, whatever and enjoy the pedestrian plaza as a place for people to enjoy car-free. Please repost!
