This is what I’ve done since my MA, but in a spreadsheet. For every source, there’s a footnote I write when I add the new item. Despite the OP’s mocking, rude, tone, writing footnotes IS done by hand and checked. It’s a vital chance to reflect on sources, deeply valued and has FA to do with AI.
I get what this is about, of course. Still: it’s possible to be disgusted about multiple things at once (NB: 2026) so I should note this definition of a “family” would explicitly invalidate my family. Bigoted fuckwads are generally stupid, but this is special. #indiana

It’s our first #caturday without our sweet Dobby girl. Saying goodbye yesterday was terrible and today’s not much better. We miss her so much.
TW: pet illness Today’s a hard day. Our sweet Dobby hasn’t seemed well for a few days. Initial tests were inconclusive, but today we found out she has advanced cancer in her abdomen and lymph nodes. She’s been with us since 2010. We’re devastated.
This is Tibby. He is spectacularly talented at sleeping between my wrists as I type at my desk. Though, as a mid-sized cat, he drapes over both wrists. I manage.

23 years ago, I started an MA. I married a fellow grad student and it didn’t seem reasonable for us to be a two-historian faculty. In 2020, a semester after defending my dissertation, I started classes again with the plan of finally finishing what I’d started, and today, I successfully defended. 1/2
There’s no hierarchy in handcraft. I’ve long contemplated improving my crochet because there are so many beautiful crochet patterns widely available - including for jumpers and socks - and so many brilliant things can be crocheted more quickly than knit. Both can be beautiful. Both can be lovely.
