IT'S OFFICIAL! When Stars Disappear launches October 20th, 2026. Pre-order link coming soon, but for now: mark those calendars! (Also, keep an eye out for the cover reveal this week 👀 My artist and designer are amazing!) #indieauthor #booksky
"A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic." - Carl Sagan Could not agree more! 📚✨️ #booksky #readmorebooks #booksaremagic
POV: You canceled plans to stay home and read and this was the best decision you've made all month. 📚 #booksky #readmorebooks #perfectday
I was gifted this by my closest friend, and am reminded how grateful I am to have her in my life. Anam cara = soul friend 💜✨️ #books #spirituality #friendship
Sometimes our strongest memories are held in our senses, like how the smell of apple pie instantly transports me back to my great-grandparent's house in Ohio. Or how "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain has me sitting in my car with my best friend, and he's still alive because it's 2004 again.
I was horrified when I got this animated version of The Little Mermaid as a child 😅 It follows the original, and totally changed how I viewed the Disney version. My 9 year old self was horrified lol
Even though I brought my own sketch pad, oftentimes I’d just sit in this atrium for hours, watching people and soaking that feeling of *pause* that often overtakes me in spaces like galleries and museums. I really miss it some days. #nationalgalleryofart #washingtondc #art #creative
My month so far (July 2026) It's been a good one! Busy preparing for a book launch later this year, but still finding time to read, hang out with my kids, and connect with friends. How about you? How's July going so far?
And I know I'm not alone! I recently received a recommendation for a local place I have to check out. @brickroadcoffee.bsky.social looks amazing, and like the perfect place to visit soon!
Recommended Read: The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab, for anyone who has ever wondered about memory and identity. ***What book got stuck in your head, or inspired you to think about something in a new or deeper way? 📚 #booksky #readersky #recommendedreads #booksforthought
Reader confession: I love unlikeable characters. Give me the mess and contradictions. The more complicated the character, the better! #booksky #bookishthoughts #reader #readerconfession
I write most of my best work while my body tries to convince me to stay in bed. Some days it wins. Some days I write anyway. Some days I stay in bed, and write there. Chronic illness has a way of teaching which things are actually worth the energy. #writersky #booksky #chronicillness #disability
My current most used tumbler is one I got from my SIL for Christmas. It's stickerless, but has this cool dragon coming out of a book. Can we see one of your favorite tumblers?
Happy Winter Solstice! May we be grateful, and welcome the returning light ❄️✨️
I miss this view! I've been back home for a couple days now, and today I'll be opening up ECHO for the first time in weeks. I'm so thankful for the rest and rejuvenation our family trip brought. Mark my words, though: one day, I'll live where I can write with a view like this! #writingcommunity #AZ
The kids and I enjoyed outside time today. We even had some snow flurries! ❄️🌲 This week is for resting, recharging and spending time with family so I can hit the ground running on drafting ECHO when we get home. #AZ #Arizona #snowday #creativity
Time for the annual re-read! If you haven't already read Braiding Sweetgrass, you should probably fix that ASAP. Anyone have similar book you'd recommend? 📚 #booksky #braidingsweetgrass #bookrec
My daughter had her cousin over for a sleepover, so that meant breakfast in bed! Not pictured: miso soup and fresh juice. Yummmm! What do you normally eat for breakfast? I prefer a more savory meal like this, but I know I'm not a typical American here.
