I took my first crack at avgolemono and I am pumped with how it turned out. No visible cooked egg bits and a great consistency. Bright and fresh thanks to the added zest. Paired that with a souvlaki sub and we had a pretty fresh tasting Sunday supper.
I don't have a great "before" photo of the coffee bar, but the mirrors are gone and things are looking pretty tight. The only thing I didn't do was cut the quartz countertop so I'm pretty proud we have a functional sink and cozy little coffee bar again.
Just saw Third Eye Blind at the weirdest festival I've ever been to. Honestly, props to SaskTel Centre for trying something different. I'm glad Saskatoon showed up, but I hope if this happens again you spend a little more on sound. I had a fun time regardless but it could improve with a few tweaks.
The floof cannot be contained. Marvin's recovering from his surgery and we'll on his way to being 100% "normal" again.
This little guy is at the vet getting a (very small) lump removed and tested. Outlook is good regardless of what the lump turns out to be, but man I hate waiting to hear when I can get my little floof back and smother him with love.

It's amazing to visit in person. You see it on TV, in photos, etc but you don't get how vast it is until you get there. The entire National Mall is magnificent with and free to go see so many museums. I really hope the changes being made don't affect the true wonder that is that area.

Ok guys, it really turns out. It was a day of effort but not rushed and it is hitting all the notes I need. If only it wasn't such a large group we could have properly plated it.
By far the biggest lasagna bolognese I've ever made. Now we just have to bake it and see how it tastes all together.

Second attempt at styling a citrus peel garnish turned out alright. I'm really having fun trying to hone my bartending skills.
We're 98% done our first big home renso and I'm so pumped with how it turned out. The room is more open and the wet bar has a counter and isn't just a sink in a closet! Just need electrical upgrades so we can power the lights and the floating shelves for the wall to be finished.
