It can be 30 degrees hotter 1-2 miles inland in this region and the wind is for sure side offshore so dry and warm. This image confirms that the winds are high, hence the spotting over the coves. Good news is the fire is west of hwy 1 so a good fuel break and calfire is saying 20% contained.
