It’s normally hard to see her eyes with the cocker bangs but we had pretty sun this morning 🥰

A cocker spaniel with big fluffy ears her eyes sometimes are hidden by her hair causing shadows and normally just look like two dark sports but the sun this morning was shining nicely showing her brown eyes so took a picture

I learned a valuable lesson about why my glaze had crawled off the rim or left spots of glaze that ran off parts of the mug, it was because I didn’t wipe the dust off the pieces after I sanded. Good news is the kiln master said I can spot those areas with glaze and refire them! *fingers crossed*

Two hand built mugs the glaze ran off the rim of the lighter colored one and there’s a spot of glaze missing near the rim of the green one. This makes the cup not food safe.

Some bisque ware that I sponged down with water and the bowl is cloudy with dust only after four pieces.

I’ve recently taken up pottery as a creative outlet and I really love it. I took some classes in undergrad but it’s been ages so I’ve been taking hand building classes. Here are some slab built cat bowls I’ve made for all my cat lady friends. I’ve made about 14 so far w one kiln mishap so not bad :)

Theo as a 6 week old kitten and now one year old he’s a beast and grew a ton! Well over 10lbs now I’m sure. (Don’t let the calm appearance in the photos fool you has an agent of chaos and destruction)
