1/2 I was walking home from work and a gentleman driving a 1924 Ford coasted to a stop right in front of me. The car ran out of water. He didn't have his phone on him and thought that it would be okay to take the car out for a few miles without issue. He didn't have his phone on him.

My mom requested pho the other day, so I my brisket knife out (for the very first time,) to make thin meat slices. Boy, do I love this knife! I used it again tonight to make strips of beef to marinate for bulgogi. I don't often feel like an adult, but this is absolutely an adult tool. Lol

A 12 inch German steel knife made for carving brisket. It's got grooves for the meat juices and a rounded edge instead of a point at the end. The handle is beautiful wood with rings on it. It rests in a box with foam because it's too big to keep in a drawer.

Bought myself and my bestie Jenny Lawson's new book "How to be Okay when Nothing is Okay." I wrote in hers and she's going to hate that I did it. 🤣

#BreakUpDiaries, entry 3: My TV is functional again. I brought it over to my ex's about a year ago to watch a PPV and didn't bring it back over to my place until the breakup.

R.K. Russell's book is good. I think that he's brave to have written this book. I'm glad that he advocates for the communities he belongs to and stands up to hate. The search for happiness throughout this book makes navigating topics of loss, self doubt, and suicide easier.
