This started as an entirely different painting and as the world got darker so did the painting. As a sometime optimist I've left some of the sunnier parts from the painting underneath hence the title Then came the sun. It's 100x100cm, acrylics pastel. Thanks for looking. #abstract #dark #brights

For #BlueskyartShow I thought I'd show Echoes. Something I've just finished. I love this painting, it was a joy to paint, the marks, strokes and scratches were free and gestural and took me away thankfully 🙂. 100x100cm. Acrylic on canvas. #Art #Abstract #Acrylic # purple #lime

This is a large square canvas abstract. Dark purples, and paynes grey and rich cream blocks make up the base. There are scratches and swipes and long brushstrokes of pink violet and small areas dotted around in lime green.

A tall mostly glass building. I'm looking up at it and the photo shows the side of the building, a slice of blue sky with a cloud to the left which is reflected back through the glass, so it looks as though the cloud is behind the glass.

This is a photo taken at the edge of a copse the thick trunk is in the middle with its bark partially ripped or torn off. There is a vaguely heart shaped hole half way up the trunk. Next to this is a tall very thin sapling.
They are backlit by green.

Hi everyone this is for #Forestfriday #trees #trunks. After the winter the fallen trees and logs, mainly birch, lay in large deep boggy puddles which are full of minute life forms. Hope you are all doing ok and still smiling despite everything🙂
