I always enjoyed playing Magic Standard. Some months back my son talked me into giving Commander a go. Now I am a total convert. I have four decks which really suit my play style which is either Lifegain/drain or go wide token strategy.

A quick game of Magic Commander last night. A hard fought encounter. I used a Food and Fellowship vanilla precon without my planned upgrades. Against the odds I was able to save the day synergistic Farmer Cotton and Mirkwood bats with Frodo and Sam as commanders. Won with 26 points.
I remember a few years back when I wanted my year 4 primary class to copy down my definition of a rule. One fellow had a pencil but forgot his book. He improvised. I allowed him to keep it for study purposes. However it came to me and is a treasured memory of teaching.

Retirement has it special moment. Like BBQ lunch on a Wednesday lunchtime as a break for us from studying and research.
