Info from tonight's panel is arts, culture and heritage is about 3% of the Canadian economy, roughly the same as oil and gas extraction. And this is even when the arts are chronically underfunded compared to the massive subsidies oil and gas receive. Those subsidies should go to the arts instead

Apparently Patty Hadju,Minister of Jobs and Families, doesn't see the hypocrisy in saying this. She tried to force workers to go back to work who were striking to be paid so they wouldnt have to work for free

It makes sense from a compassionate viewpoint and from a financial perspective as well. Our MLAs, MPs and municipal leaders need to all get on the same page on supportive housing and stop making excuses on why more isn't being done.
