I'm a painter doing what painters do. 🌈 landingbio.com/u/guidingart
The Goddess Selene, 8/8/2026 I stepped outside to take a break from painting and enjoy a smoky treat. The moon was beautiful, and for a moment, I imagined Selene, the moon goddess, driving her glowing chariot across the night sky.
Drawing on Napkins Over Coffee, 8/8/2025. A 24" × 36" acrylic painting on canvas. I used to spend a lot of time in cafés drinking coffee, drawing on napkins, and socializing. Cafés aren’t the same as they were a few decades ago, so now I sit in the garden and draw.
Tithonia, Ambrosia for Pollinators August 7, 2026 Plant these in your garden, and you'll be rewarded with clouds of butterflies and bees circling the flowers.
Kandy Korn August 6, 2026 I grew a small patch of corn in my garden for three years in a row. Since I had never grown corn before, it was a wonderful experience. I decided not to press my luck, though, because the raccoons had started circling.
The Back Garden August 6, 2026 My little bubble, surrounded by an alternate reality.
Mill Valley Cabin, 8/6/2026 Every home in this community is built on a sloping landscape. Some are perched on stilts, while others are partially embedded into the hillside, surrounded by evergreens and eucalyptus trees.
Bee-yoncé August 5, 2026 I decided to name this bumblebee Bee-yoncé because it was so beautiful.
Hummingbird Moth — 8/5/2026 I thought it was a hummingbird until I got up close. Now, I find myself watching the garden almost every evening at dusk, just to catch a glimpse of these incredible pollinators.
Morning at Monona Apartments, 8/3/2026 Watercolor and ink I find no shortage of painting subjects while biking around Madison. On this particular morning, I was drawn to this building and decided to paint it.
Lake Monona Park on a Monday Morning — August 3, 2026 Lake Monona Park is a wonderful place to relax, watch people, and take in the beautiful views.
Misi-Ziibi, 7/29/2026 Misi-Ziibi, meaning "the Great River," is the Indigenous name for the Mississippi River. This view of the river was captured from the small river town of Ferryville in Wisconsin.
A Lively Cluster of Sunflowers July 27, 2026 One year, I lined the driveway with these sunflowers. The display was breathtakingly beautiful, and it was incredible to see how much wildlife they attracted.
Crocosmia, 7/24/2026 I'm growing crocosmia for the first time, and it's absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, it's not hardy in my growing zone, so I'll need to dig up the corms and store them in the basement over the winter.
Hyssop Love July 24, 2026 Hyssop is one of my favorite plants in the garden. It attracts a wide variety of pollinators, its vibrant colors are captivating, and the tea I make from it is both delicious and beneficial.
