I practice law in federal court, and I cannot tell from this NYT article what happened in this case yesterday. Judges don’t write motions, for one. What motion was she ruling on, and who filed it? Story doesn’t say. Does this stuff drive non-lawyers as crazy as it does me?
What the hell does “accused” mean in this sentence? It must refer exclusively to formal criminal charges, right? Because among other things, he’s accused of wrongdoing by Epstein *in the documents.*
