Marcel is beautiful! I would like to introduce him to Lola. We don’t know how she lost her eye, as that is how she came to us one cold rainy night yowling to be let in. That was 8 years ago. Now she is safe and warm, happy, well fed and very much loved.
Take heart. A cardinal I gave peanuts to and who I loved deeply, disappeared for 17 days. I was quite bereft, and yet just this morning he was waiting for me in the usual spot, joined by his lovely new partner.

I had a beautiful little Bengal cat rescue a few years back who was so ill he didn’t eat for 6 days. Nothing the vet did made a difference. Finally he took a bit of liquified wet food from my finger and that began his recovery. He lived several years more.
Hope you feel better soon. Especially lovely photos today, but I miss seeing Sara and the pups! We are having so much snow here. It had mostly melted and then we got another few inches overnight. This was taken early this morning.
