We also took a second 'harder' colour each - mine was blue, but with the added rule that I couldn't take pics of just the sea or just the sky (we were in a seaside town).
I did a colour hunt photo challenge with some friends this week & it was really fun. Makes you look at the landscape differently! I had green as my main colour, and I know this isn't the aesthetic picture platform, but look how nicely it turned out:
