Book 69 - Behind on my reading so read this entire book today. It was easy because it was a fun, fast-paced read. Love a good isolated Cornish setting. 💙📚
Book 68 - I love angry women horror and this is some good angry women horror. 💙📚
Book 67 - This was my other vacation read. I read nearly the whole thing on the plane - and it was only a short flight back from Florida. Highly recommend for slasher fans! 📚💙
Book 66 - This folk horror short story collection was my vacation read. These stories are so good. Very much in a the Shirley Jackson vein. 💙📚
Book 65 - Finished this before vacation - devoured it in less than 24 hours. Absolutely loved it! 💙📚
Book 64 - This was a really fun collection! Quick and clever stories. 💙📚
Book 63 - This was so good! I could have read a dozen more chapters (and yet the ending was perfect). Highly recommend. 📚💙
Book 62 - The ending. THE ENDING! An amazing book. In my top 5 of the year. AI could never. 💙📚
Book 61 - Finished this one early last week. Interesting structure and I’m not sure how I feel about the ending but it definitely kept me intrigued the whole time. 💙📚

Book 59 - Crazy week but I finished this a few days ago. Is it bad that I would still go to this resort after the murders that happen here? 💙📚
Book 58 - This was from Night Worms’ March package. Not as dark as some other gothic horror/thrillers if you’re looking for something in that genre but prefer your readers on the lighter side. 📚💙
Book 56 - Got this @doylestownbookshop.bsky.social at last year’s Dark Ink & am absolutely getting a copy of Diana Rodriguez Wallach’s Stoker-winning The Silenced at this year’s event. I love a good creepy forest and Lizzie Borden adjacent story. (And a book written by an Eagles fan. Go Birds.) 📚💙
Book 56 - Another one I finished a few days ago. A very modern style mystery that explores the seedy clubs of the immediate postwar era. 💙📚
Book 55 - Behind on my book posts, again. I finished this last week and really enjoyed. I don’t read a lot of straight scifi, but this had great characters and some great plot twists and reveals. 💙📚
Book 54 - Another one I finished a few days ago. This had been sitting on my shelf for a while. 💙📚
Book 53 - Finished this over the weekend. It’s one I bought on whim in London the other year. Out of the norm from what I usually read but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Great character development. 💙📚
Book 52 - This is a great work about identity, jealousy, and the intersection (or lack thereof) between art and technology. It was a Night Worms pick last year, but isn’t your traditional horror novel. 💙📚
Book 51 - This was a lot of fun. I wasn’t expecting the dual storylines, but they both worked so well. Loved how everything came together. 💙📚
Book 50 - Coincidentally, I read two crime books incorporating movie-making and screenplay excerpts in a row! I borrowed this one from my sister and wanted to get it back to her. 💙📚
Book 49 - Behind on my book posting! I read this last week on the plane back from LA, and it was the perfect book to read 1) when escaping LA and 2) I couldn’t put it down and devoured it all on the flight. I have at least one more Howard book on my TBR pile, and I can’t wait to read it. 💙📚
Book 48 - A republished classic from the British Library Crime Classics series. The quintessential locked room mystery! 💙📚
Book 47 - The dogs are at home and not on vacation with me, so my new friar pal will have to do. This one’s a great contemporary Gothic horror. I love a good insane asylum and this one has a doozy! 💙📚
Book 46 - I got this one in a Strand Book Hookup box and didn’t know anything about it or what to expect. It was great! An excellent crime noir set in 1940s Sam Francisco that explores the racism and classicism of the time within the workings of a well-crafted whodunit. 💙📚
Book 45 - If you think Chock and Bates were robbed this Winter Olympics, do I have the book for you! Not my typical read, but I got this one as my free Lolly nominee pick this year. It’s a lot of fun. 💙📚
Book 44 - I’ve never listened to the Welcome to Night Vale podcast, but I’ve read two of the novels and adored each one. They seem utterly silly at first but are anchored by real warmth and love for the characters. 📚💙
