A new morning..7 hours sleep. No 2:30am panic attacks or doomscrolling. Cool enough for open windows. Hubster sleeping peacefully. Some blessed time for myself. Loving the 2 handmade (not by me!) mugs holding my tea and water. A better..no..a good morning. ☀️
So..this is not a fun morning. It even smells smoky inside the house. We're both coughing up a lung. And I have to start giving Hubster chemo pills today. So probably not a fun day..or evening, either. Glad I'm not a drinking woman because I would be starting right about an hour ago.
At this point, nothing would surprise me, but I do hope this isn't some kind of omen or something. 😬
Book finish/book start 2 beautiful memoirs, different, yet similar. I love both.
Dad taught me so much. How to replace an engine, throw a football, swing a bat and appreciate jazz. To be curious, never stop learning. To appreciate the most painful of puns. To understand, accept, and honor the fact that not everyone looked or lived like us. I was never taught to hate.
Lovely..these two little nuggets have been hanging around all day. No sign of mom. This is going to make getting out of the car and into the house rough for Hubster. I hate fawning season even more than I hate rut.
1.5 miles walked 3 loads of laundry done Orange cake for tomorrow baked Kitchen cleaned Lunch eaten Sitting down with new library book Going to friend's house at 4 to watch Tigers/Guardians game Happy Saturday!!!
This showed up in my FB memories and, yeah, pretty much sums me up. Party on!
Celebrating the fourth anniversary of having my right arm and bicep reattached to the rest of my body. Thanks to 18 months of obsessive rehab, I'm (according to the doc) miraculously as good as new except for the 9" scar.
So...it appears the doe decided to deliver in another yard. Why? Because some other doe stashed her older fawn in our yard! The fun never ends here at the wildlife preserve. 🤪
Damn..I thought she was going to do us a favor and drop it behind the garage. Now she’s getting closer to the house. 😱
This here lady's gonna drop a fawn in my back yard. Should I boil water? Get towels? I seriously know nothing about childbirth, human or otherwise. 😆😆😆
Thanks! Almost 9 months, and I was on a deadline to get it done so she could release the pattern. So, kinda like having a kid. 😆 This is my favorite pic..after I grafted the last stitches and wove in the last ends. 😵
There's this..and it was designed by a friend who I know isn't an AI character. 😆
The first was a birthday gift from my parents when I was maybe 3. Something by Alvin and the Chipmunks. 😆 The first one I bought with my own money was
Spent the afternoon cross-stitching. First time I've had the mental energy to attempt this in months. Page 3 almost done.
The early morning bird. Almost too pretty to eat, but the meat is stripped and packaged away, and the bones are helping make a (hopefully!) delicious soup. And I'm taking a nap!😴
Starting a new book and listening to the first album I ever heard when I was 3 years old. Thanks, Dad, for being so damn cool. 😁
