#FantasyIndiesDecember day 16 I knew I'd forget to keep up with this! I used to make this turkey pie every Boxing Day. I got the recipe from my Nan before she died. She refused to give my mum the recipe! I'm vegan now so I adapt it with seitan, but it still conjures memories of family holidays.

TURKEY PIE

2 medium onions, chopped

3 cloves garlic

1 kg casserole veg (red onions, leets, carrots, swede, turni

2 peppers

Sweetcom

1/3 tsp died chilli flakes

Fry onions in 25g butter, add garlic, veg + Warm through.

Then add..

I pint chicken or veg stock

2 tins chopped tomatoes

2 tsp worcestershire sauce

3 bay leaves

¼ tsp hot curry powder

Simmer for about an hour.

Once cool, stir through leftover turkey, pour into dishes and top with puff pastry
