Thinking of moving to The Discworld or Ambridge as reality is a bit frightening. Books, Politics, Nature, Leeds United and The Archers. LGBTQ ally🏳️🌈
Staying at a hotel that is giving a Grey Gables vibe. I’m having a drink in the bar but I haven’t seen Brad or Kate yet. #TheArchers
Visited Grimes Graves today in Norfolk. Really interesting, I enjoyed climbing down into the mine.Good use of our English Heritage membership.
I was given these two beauties by a child today. There’s no care instructions has anyone got any tips, amount of light, heat and water?
I’m due some time off in lieu so don’t have to be in school until 11. Time for a bacon sandwich and a leisurely breakfast. This is the life I was born to. #Monday
Rurairi has already told George he did it and he wasn’t believed. George has taken a bribe to keep him silent so he won’t be going to the police. Brian paid him by cheque rather than cash in hand so has evidence to that. It’s a web of deceit. #TheArchers
Had the Year 6 production today. They all did us proud and though some of them can be little buggers they were all brilliant. Not a dry eye in the house. My Trojan Horse managed to stay in one piece for all the performances which was a minor miracle. #Year6 #PrimarySchool
We are the kids smoking behind the bike sheds and writing rude words on the toilet walls. #TheArchers
Has the world gone completely mad, Trump getting involved in World Cup decisions, Marine Le Pen standing as President of France while wearing an electronic tag and Farage making a mockery of our electoral system. #Farage
It’s all right I have cupboards full, we could organise a Multicoloured Swap Shop. Has anyone got a battered bread maker to swap with a soda stream without a plug.
Still reading and enjoying this. I’ve had a busy and tiring week at work so haven’t read much. Terrible when your job gets in the way of reading.
After staying at school for two hours to help at the summer fair I’m enjoying some peace and quiet in the garden with a glass of something cold. #Friday
Really enjoyed this early birthday present at the Barbican. A joyful evening with lots of brilliant Cole Porter songs. Makes me want to watch The Philadelphia Story and the film version of High Society again.
Trojan Horse made, my daughter when I sent her a picture said she it was very cute and she would definitely let it into Troy. I was looking for something majestic and awe inspiring but I’ll take cute. #Year6Production
Leaving school today I saw a child had been knocked down by a car, others were there but as a first aider I offered my help. He was very lucky not to be too badly injured as he’d been thrown in the air. He was shocked and had some nasty scrapes on his face and hands as well.
When I was growing up watching The Good Life I loved Tom and Barbara but as an adult I saw Margo as the star, she was magnificent. #TheGoodLife #PenelopeKeith
Picked this up some time ago and have just started it, enjoying it so far particularly the description of the newly redesigned 4th circle of Hell.
Spent the afternoon painting trying to keep my mind off the heat. We went to North Norfolk at Easter and I took some photos, this is a painting of one of the reed beds.
Are Channel 4 info writers taking the piss with this caption?
Sitting in the garden enjoying the breeze we have today. Not as stifling as yesterday but still uncomfortable in London. Another half day at school tomorrow. #Heatwave
What a great photo. We all miss him but that pales into insignificance compared to your loss. His memory lives on.
Home from school and having some raspberry sorbet. The Waitrose one is lovely. #Heatwave
Spent the time after school ringing up utilities, council tax and insurance people to cancel everything in preparation of completion day for Mums house. Bittersweet, glad that’s it’s almost sorted but sad as another link to mum is broken. Lots of happy memories of them growing old together there.
