Molly and Brie and Me
@lfarrell
Professional, veteran, wife, & mom. Progressive AF because of all those things. Lover of ttrpgs, scifi, fantasy and all things nerd. Hiking in the woods of MD and copper fire painting are the best (but so is painting miniatures). Sadly unable to type
I have done wrong. No idea what, but she woke up with a start and gave me this look. I'm sorry, Molly. I will do better
That was kind of my assumption. I can’t even say I hope my epilepsy service dog bites him because 1) she’d be removed and I need her, and 2) she’s a good girl who never would. This is her the day she finished training.
I just can’t with the stupid today, so have some things l painted.
The husband picked it up, tossed it, and it vanished into another dimension. No amount of scuttling about under the bed surfaced it. This was her little face when she gave up. He’s clearly a monster.
So... someone took Molly's entire stash of rawhide sticks from a jar on my desk. I'm trying to figure out what happened because I have to think no one would take a service dog's treats. There's a sign on the door they'd have to open that literally has her picture and certification info. She asks why
Hugs (but gentle noninvasive ones). And animals or animal pics of your choice. This one may be relatable
After this sneeze and a treat, she was good and goofy again. Not sure how those ears turned into bunny ears, but that’s ok
I'm a bit strident and angry at the world already today, so to stop adding that into the world, here's a Molly. I may have shared it before, but she's cute here so have a view of her earnest gaze again 😊
When you’re so tired you can’t make it to bed. We all relate, Molly, we all relate
I’m not sure if i posted it before, but here was Molly right after she’d completed her service dog training
Someone might be not quite ready to put on her vest and start her day as a pawfessional seizure alert service dog
Wish us luck today. It’s Molly’s first day at my work as a service dog. Probably a good thing. My head feels buzzy and I’m concerned today might be another seizure day. I hope she doesn’t end up with trial by fire. Here she is watching me awhile after a seizure when I was upright and recovering
When someone really, really does not want you to make the bed.
Earlier version of this post deleted for lack of alt text. Happy news: Molly is back to her cheerful self, tail improving rapidly. She's being difficult to photograph, but she's in exactly this pose right now (unless she sees the phone and then she leaps at me for pets, tail a-wag)
Me (barely 14yo) and two friends while I was a girl dealing years of sexual abuse in Palm Beach by a man old enough to have been my father. (No, not part of the Epstein filth) The treatment of these survivors hurts far more people than you probably know. Just can’t do decent alt text this time
Mine is... odd. For starters, I am pretty sure I don't talk to myself. (At least not intentionally). I'm not sure how to describe this in alt text to that point that I'm going to break a personal role and put the image in there anyway.
All right. My posting today has gotten out of hand and I'll leave you with Brie and Molly pics and apologies for my stridency. I really don't know what had Molly looking like that but she hopped up happy and alert right after so... who knows?
I need to stop today. Here's my sign off dog pic. She doesn't actually mind the coat, she was just tuckered.
Molly listening to Tim Walz (and looking at me). Brie dodged out of the photo, as is her practice.
No one should care with everything going on, but I feel compelled to share a tiny fleck of amusement. This is what happens in my house if you do not IMMEDIATELY make the bed. My current situation induced insomnia is not shared, it seems.
It is, right! I’ve been so worried about leaving my coworkers who know what my situation is and where my rescue meds are that I’ve only done virtual meetings in forever. I suppose they’d frown if I put her fairy wings on over her vest? 😆
